Ο Βουλευτής Κορινθίας ΣΥΡΙΖΑ-ΠΣ, κ. Γιώργος Ψυχογιός, κατέθεσε ως Αναφορά επιστολή που του κοινοποιήθηκε και συνυπογράφουν παραγωγοί καλλιεργούμενων κηπευτικών της Ορεινής Κορινθίας, στην οποία παραθέτουν τους έντονους προβληματισμούς τους για την εξέλιξη της φετινής χρονιάς και συνολικά την καλλιέργεια της ντομάτας στην περιοχή. Ζητά από το αρμόδιο Υπουργείο άμεσες παρεμβάσεις και ενέργειες για την στήριξη των παραγωγών, που είναι σημαντική για το εισόδημά τους αλλά και για την κοινωνική και οικονομική αλυσίδα των τοπικών κοινωνιών του Νομού.

Θέμα: «Οι παραγωγοί ντομάτας της Κορινθίας ζητούν με επιστολή τους άμεση στήριξη και παρεμβάσεις από την κυβέρνηση»
Ο Βουλευτής Κορινθίας ΣΥΡΙΖΑ-ΠΣ, κ. Γιώργος Ψυχογιός, καταθέτει ως Αναφορά Επιστολή που του κοινοποιήθηκε και συνυπογράφουν παραγωγοί οι οποίοι, όπως αναφέρουν, αντιπροσωπεύουν το 90% των καλλιεργούμενων κηπευτικών της Ορεινής Κορινθίας και παραθέτουν τους έντονους προβληματισμούς τους για την εξέλιξη της φετινής χρονιάς και συνολικά την καλλιέργεια της ντομάτας στην περιοχή.
Σύμφωνα με την επιστολή, στις κοινότητες Βελίνας, Καισαρίου και Κλημεντίου του Δήμου Συκιωνίων καλλιεργούνται περίπου 3000 στρέμματα κηπευτικών εκ των οποίων τα 2000 περίπου είναι ντομάτες.
Όπως σημειώνουν, η καλλιέργεια της ντομάτας ξεκινά από τα μέσα Μαΐου ως 10 Ιουνίου περίπου με την μεταφύτευση των σπορόφυτων στα αγροτεμάχια. Η τελευταία συγκομιδή γίνεται μέχρι οι παγετοί του χειμώνα να καταστρέψουν καρπούς και φυτά.
Ωστόσο, τονίζουν ότι η αύξηση των καλλιεργούμενων στρεμμάτων και η ανάγκη διαχείρισης των αγροτεμαχίων για λόγους αμειψισποράς οδήγησε σε αύξηση των φυτών ανά στρέμμα από τα 500 στα 750, με συνέπεια αυξημένες στρεμματικές αποδόσεις που φτάνουν τους 9-10 τόνους ανά στρέμμα. Επίσης, οι ανάγκες της αγοράς οδήγησαν και σε επενδύσεις ώστε να καλλιεργηθούν αναρριχώμενες ποικιλίες όπου οι φυτεύσεις φτάνουν τα 1500 φυτά ανά στρέμμα, με τις αποδόσεις να φτάνουν υπό συνθήκες τους 12-15 τόνους ανά στρέμμα.
Στη συνέχεια, στην επιστολή επισημαίνεται ότι η κλιματική αλλαγή που επηρεάζει εδώ και χρόνια την περιοχή, έχει επιμηκύνει το φθινόπωρο ώστε η συγκομιδή της ντομάτας να κρατάει ως τα τέλη Νοεμβρίου ενώ το 2022 ως και τον Δεκέμβριο. Την φετινή χρονιά του 2023 με τις έντονες βροχοπτώσεις της άνοιξης οι φυτεύσεις ωψίμησαν κατά 15 περίπου μέρες, με αποτέλεσμα σε πολλά αγροτεμάχια που φυτεύτηκαν όψιμα να μην έχουν συλλεγεί οι καρποί σχεδόν καθόλου την ημέρα που έγινε η χαλαζόπτωση.
Για τους παραπάνω λόγους, ζητούν την επαναξιολόγηση και αλλαγή των 4,5 τόνων ανά στρέμμα όπως επίσης και την 31η Οκτώβρη ως τελευταία επιλέξιμη μέρα αποζημίωσης καθώς και τo πλαφόν των 70000 ευρώ ανά φυσικό πρόσωπο, πολύ δε περισσότερο για Ομάδες Παραγωγών. Επίσης, ζητούν ταχεία αξιολόγηση των εκτιμήσεων και πληρωμών, διότι η φετινή χρονιά ακολουθεί δύο προηγούμενες δύσκολες οικονομικά χρονιές .
